There is a Village Hall a short distance away where regular groups, including the Womens Institute, meet and special celebrations and community events are held. The public library next door offers a book exchange service every Wednesday and Saturday with the more outgoing residents enjoying the social club, the Chequers.

Warton houses several places to eat including ship shops, sandwich shops, cafes and an Indian restaurant and takeaway. A short bus ride away is The Birley Arms Hotel and Gastro Pub set in the countryside, the perfect place to enjoy your Sunday dinner.

Close by is the village of Freckleton with several local produce shops, doctors and other amenities. A bus ride away is the picturesque village of Wrea Green ideal for walks, watching the cricket on the green and feeding the ducks.

Warton Aerodrome

Warton Aerodrome is located in Warton village since the runways were built in 1940, today the airfield is used as a major assembly and testing facility of BAE Systems Military Air & Information. 

This site was used as the base for all British development aircraft and Instrumented Production Aircraft in the Eurofighter programme and has been home to the initial Typhoon squadrons of the Royal Air Force.

Warton is the base for BAE Systems' Corporate Air Travel department which operates scheduled services for employees, however is not open to the public.

Many residents in the surrounding areas enjoy watching the planes fly overhead with great views of landings/take-offs on Naze Lane East in Freckleton, a short ride away from Warton.
